About our wedding paella catering in Idbury

Paella has a natural rhythm: the rice needs about 20 minutes and is best served immediately. We time it around your speeches and photos. We cook evening paella, table tapas and Spanish desserts, and we are often booked for evening wedding food and spanish-themed and destination-style weddings.

Near Idbury, weddings are frequently in fields, barns or gardens. That’s exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We plan the timings around your day, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

How we price wedding paella catering

There are no hidden charges: the quote reflects:

  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • Parking and unloading
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • The number of people

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can be a feast.

Getting an accurate quote

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • Expected numbers

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, the courses you’d like and any extras. To send your details, use our quote form.

Dietary needs and planning tips

We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Let us know about meals for your band or photographer
  • Ask about diets and allergies with your RSVPs
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator

Fresh pans can be cooked for evening guests, timed for after the first dance.

A table tapas starter gets everyone sharing.

Your questions about wedding paella catering in Idbury

What’s the nearest station to Idbury for guests?

The closest is Kingham station, roughly 2.1 miles away.

Is Idbury too small for live paella?

No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.

Will there be enough food?

Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a sensible margin. Accurate numbers help.

When should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

What about pudding?

We do. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices, or you can serve your own cake.

Can paella feel formal?

It can be dressed up or kept relaxed, depending on how it’s served.

Can you cater the whole day?

Any part of the day, or all of it, from the drinks reception to the evening.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Yes, children are easy to cater for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan for them.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

If you are weighing up paella against a traditional menu, think about your venue, your guests’ diets and the feel of the day. Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed before you book.

What you get with us

  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
  • Fast service from the pan

Should I cook it myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.

Planning the cooking area

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so we need a suitable spot. These are the things we check:

  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • Level ground for the pans and burners

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before booking.
