Live wedding paella catering in Hale End

Wedding paella catering in Hale End, cooked live

Sharing from big pans suits relaxed weddings, long tables and garden or barn venues. It feels generous and celebratory. We are often asked to cater farm and barn venues and big weddings with every diet, serving table tapas, canapé tapas and a paella wedding breakfast.

Couples in Hale End often marry locally and hold the reception at a venue or garden nearby. Paella suits either, given a ventilated cooking spot. In London, parking and loading need planning early. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: menu, staff, crockery and anything else you choose.

Common questions in Hale End

We’re having a ceremony at All Saints Church of England Highams Park: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Can you cook in The Highams Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Ask them first, and we’ll send any information they need.

Do you take everything away?

We clear our cooking area away when service is finished. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.

Can we try the food first?

Mention a tasting in your enquiry, and we’ll explain how it works.

How do you work out quantities?

Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a little extra built in. Accurate numbers help.

Can you cater the whole day?

We can. We can do canapés, tapas, the wedding breakfast, evening food and desserts.

Should we have more than one paella?

Typically two or three, so every guest has a choice. We’ll recommend a mix based on diets.

Do you do vegan paella?

Yes, and meat eaters frequently go back for seconds. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.

DIY paella versus live catering

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

How we price wedding paella catering

There are no hidden charges: the price is based on:

  • The number of people
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Parking and unloading
  • How long we’re needed on site

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Everything is confirmed in writing.

What we need to know

When you get in touch, it helps to tell us:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
  • The address or venue name
  • The date and rough timings
  • A photo of the space, if you can

Send us the date, your venue or E4 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. To get started, use our quote form.

How the day works

Serving is fast: we serve straight from the pan, so large groups are fed quickly. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. Golden-hour photos in Hale End at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan each course.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve each course.
  5. We clear our area; staff stay as booked.

About the dishes

Desserts

A sweet finish: churros, crema catalana or your wedding cake.

Paella wedding breakfast

Two or three paellas, served from the pans or brought to the tables.

Events we cater in Hale End

Paella can work for the wedding breakfast, the evening, or both, so it’s flexible.

Whatever the occasion, paella can be the star of the food. We regularly cater:

  • Marquee and garden weddings
  • Evening food for extra guests
  • Informal wedding breakfasts
  • Civil partnerships and vow renewals

Nearby historic houses include Bruce Castle (3.3 miles west) and Valentines Mansion (3.6 miles south-east). If your reception is at a historic house or estate, ask early about its rules on caterers and live cooking.

Before booking anyone

  • A clear list of what’s included
  • Who provides the crockery
  • How long the team stays
  • Space, access and power needs

Choosing a paella caterer

Is live paella right for your wedding?

A buffet can leave food sitting out. Paella goes straight from pan to plate. Live paella often compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We’ll send you a quote.

Why Hale End hosts choose us

  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu
  • Drinks service on request
  • We cover Hale End and the whole of Greater London
  • Real theatre, not just catering

Take a look at Our prices page Or The cost guide.

Space, weather and the venue

Before the day, we will agree where we cook. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • The venue’s permission for live cooking
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
  • Access for unloading near the cooking spot

Hale End is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think before you book.
