About our wedding paella catering in Firgo

We can do the whole day or just one part: canapés, a tapas starter, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and dessert. Typical bookings include garden and marquee weddings and big weddings with every diet, serving evening paella, table tapas and Spanish desserts.

A wedding in a small place like Firgo often means a field, a barn or a family garden. That is exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen needed, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We serve straight from the pan, so it’s hot and generous, and service is quick once it’s ready.

Your questions about wedding paella catering in Firgo

Is Firgo too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Can you do gluten-free paella?

Yes, on request. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Of course. Vegetarian and vegan paellas are cooked in separate pans, alongside the meat and seafood pans.

What if the weather’s bad?

Rain doesn’t stop us, as long as there’s a ventilated cover. We will make a plan B with you.

What if our speeches run late?

Tell us and we’ll adjust. We keep in touch with your venue on the day and time the rice so it is served at its best.

Is paella smart enough for a wedding?

Served well, it feels generous and special: canapés, table tapas, good crockery and staff serving the tables.

What does wedding paella catering cost?

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually want. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas and we will reply with a price.

Dietary needs and planning tips

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Count day and evening guests separately
  • Ask whether your venue allows outside caterers
  • Tell us when speeches will be
  • Put us in touch with your venue

We keep in touch with your venue coordinator or toastmaster on the day, so you can enjoy yourselves.

A table tapas starter gets everyone sharing.

What we need at the venue

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so we need a suitable spot. Here’s what we look for:

  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before booking.

The process

The cooking is part of the entertainment. Onion, garlic, peppers and tomato go in first, then the stock and saffron, then the rice, which cooks without stirring. At midsummer, sunset in Firgo is about 9:25pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:55pm, and in late September about 7:10pm.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.

Preparing for the day

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day

What wedding paella catering costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Whether you need crockery
  • The number of people
  • How many courses
  • Parking and unloading

Larger events normally cost less per head, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Details that help

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A picture of the cooking space, if it is a garden or field
  • What the venue already provides
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. You can send us your details through our quote form.

Planners, venues and businesses

Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about parking, and we will let you know if live paella is a good fit.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We will provide any information the landowner or council asks for.
