Tapas catering near Titchfield

About our tapas catering in Titchfield

We finish hot tapas on site, so they arrive hot. We cook croquetas, Manchego with membrillo and Serrano ham, and typical bookings are for launches and office parties and welcome-drink canapés.

In a rural spot like Titchfield, tapas can be served in a garden, barn or marquee. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Should I cook it myself?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

For planners, venues and organisers

Throwing a party at home? Send us a picture of the garden and tell us about access, and we will tell you honestly whether live paella will work.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.

Planning the cooking area

Safety and good cooking both depend on the spot we use. We look for:

  • Room for a tapas table
  • A suitable spot to finish hot tapas
  • Access to unload near the serving area

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before booking.

Popular choices

  • Padrón peppers
  • Olives & bread
  • Patatas bravas
  • Chorizo in red wine
  • Gambas al ajillo
  • Croquetas
  • Tortilla española
  • Manchego & membrillo
  • Serrano ham
  • Albóndigas

The process

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so the timing is planned around your event. At midsummer, it’s light in Titchfield until about 9:20pm, ideal for tapas in the garden. In late September, sunset is about 7:10pm; winter receptions, dark by 4:00pm, are better indoors.

  1. Send us the date, venue, numbers and serving style.
  2. You get a suggested selection and a price.
  3. On the day we arrive, set up and finish the hot tapas on site.
  4. Canapés circulate with drinks, or tapas go to the tables.
  5. We pack down when service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Check the venue allows live cooking
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
  • Ensure we can park close by to unload

Titchfield: your questions answered

We are having a ceremony at Church of St Peter: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Can you cook near the sea around Titchfield?

Yes, with a sheltered cooking spot. Sea breezes cool the pan, so a windbreak, building or gazebo helps.

Will there be enough food?

Pans are sized to your numbers and other courses. Let us know about any other food. See how much paella per person.

How many paellas should we have?

Most events have two or three: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We will suggest a split based on your guests.

How soon do we need to book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. They have their own pans, stock and spoons.

Do you come to Titchfield?

We do. We cook at events in Titchfield and across Hampshire. Tell us your date and we will check availability.

Are there vegetarian tapas?

Yes. Tortilla, patatas bravas, padrón peppers and Manchego are vegetarian classics.
