Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

Choosing a paella caterer

What affects the price in Thrupp

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • How many guests are eating
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Your choice of paellas
  • The length of service

Live paella pricing depends on the event. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. Your quote spells it all out.

What we need to know

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The address or venue name
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • What the venue already provides

Step by step

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, which we agree with you beforehand. At midsummer, it’s light in Thrupp until about 9:30pm, ideal for tapas in the garden. By late September it is dark around 7:10pm, and in December by about 3:55pm.

  1. We check your date.
  2. You pick the style.
  3. We arrive and set up our station.
  4. Hot and cold tapas are served.
  5. We clear away at the end.

How to prepare

Should I cook it myself?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Tapas can be a starter, a reception or the whole meal, so they fit most plans. Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. Ask us for a quote.
