Tapas catering in Bakers Arms

Bakers Arms: your questions answered

What about parking in Bakers Arms?

It can be, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. We will work around it.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Stephen's?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

What happens if it rains?

We cook under cover, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We will agree a wet-weather plan with you.

When should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so get in touch early.

Can you cook halal paella?

We can. Let us know your halal numbers, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

Do you cover Bakers Arms?

We do. We cook at events in Bakers Arms and across Greater London. Tell us your date and we will check availability.

Are the tapas served hot?

We finish hot dishes on site; cold ones go out as guests arrive.

Can we have tapas without paella?

Absolutely.

How it works

We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. A summer drinks reception in Bakers Arms has daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, ideal for tapas in the garden. In late September, sunset is about 7:05pm; winter receptions, dark by 3:50pm, are better indoors.

  1. Send us the date, venue, numbers and serving style.
  2. We put together a tapas selection and a quote.
  3. We arrive, set up and finish hot dishes on site.
  4. We serve canapés with drinks or set table tapas down to share.
  5. We pack down when service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot
  • Choose a level spot for the cooking area

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it’s harder than it looks. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.
