DIY paella versus live catering
You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.
You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.
How our tapas catering works in Amport
We will suggest a selection to suit your timings and guests, starter or main event. On the menu are Manchego with membrillo, tortilla española and Serrano ham, and we are often booked for launches and office parties and sharing boards for evening guests.
For a country party near Amport, tapas and sangria set the mood. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included, with each paella cooked in its own pan and clearly labelled.
Dishes our guests love
Gambas al ajillo
Popular with prawn fans.
Patatas bravas
Fried potatoes with spicy sauce.
How it works
We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand. At midsummer, it is light in Amport until about 9:25pm, perfect for canapés outdoors. By late September it’s dark around 7:10pm, and in December by about 4:00pm.

Planning help
For planners, venues and organisers
Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.
For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can hold the date.
Live paella or other catering?
Crisps and nibbles fill a gap. Tapas make a proper course. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. Your quote spells it all out.
