Our paella catering in W1F
Live paella works almost anywhere with a level, ventilated spot: a garden, marquee, barn, courtyard or field in and around W1F. We cook black rice, seafood paella and paella Valenciana, and typical bookings are for birthday celebrations and garden get-togethers.
Watching it cook is half the fun. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook.
- We start with a few details about your event.
- You get a menu and an itemised quote.
- Timings, access and the cooking area are agreed in advance.
- We cook live on the day while guests watch.
- It is served straight from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.
What you will pay
Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.
What you get with us
- Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
- A clear, itemised quote
- Waiting staff and crockery on request
- Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks

Catering events across W1F
W1F covers everything from Soho, Chinatown and West End to 0 small villages and hamlets, and live paella suits every kind of setting. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access.
Soho: School fairs and fundraisers, for a school such as Soho Parish CofE Primary School, can book us as a food stall. Historic houses near Soho include Benjamin Franklin House (0.5 miles south-east) and Burlington House (0.5 miles south-west). Historic venues often limit cooking, so ask early if you’re booking one. Planning an evening event in Soho? Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September; once it’s dark, we need light to cook and serve by.
Before you choose a spot
We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:
- Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
- Parking close enough to carry equipment
- Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
Working with your venue
For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so everyone eats promptly. Tell us how long you have for food.
Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.
Is live paella right for you?
Barbecues cook in batches, so food comes off in waves. Paella is cooked as one big dish and served together.
What your quote should include
- When payment is due
- Who provides the crockery
- How long the team stays
- Space, access and power needs
Should I cook it myself?
Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.
A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.
Planning for every diet
We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To make it work smoothly:
- Send allergies to us in writing
- Plan a meat, a seafood and a vegetable or vegan pan
- Collect dietary needs with your RSVPs
- Give us separate numbers for children
If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can relax.
Add canapé tapas with the drinks or table tapas as a starter as the rice cooks.
Questions from W1F
Can we choose the seafood?
Tell us your preferences and we’ll suggest seafood options to suit your menu and budget. Premium options are available.
What about pudding?
We can add a dessert. Tell us what you have in mind when you ask for a quote.
Can you do gluten-free paella?
We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.
How long do you need on site?
It depends on the menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance.
Is paella enough as a main?
Yes. With bread and salad, paella is a complete main, and tapas or dessert can be added.
What does paella catering cost?
Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually want. Tell us your date and numbers for a clear quote.
