About paella catering in RH3
A couple of different pans covers everyone: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. Each is cooked separately, so diets are easy to manage. We are frequently asked to cater engagement and anniversary parties and weddings, from canapés to evening food, serving chicken and chorizo paella, vegan paella and paella Valenciana.
Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our cooking area, and get on with cooking and serving.
- You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
- You get a suggested menu and an itemised quote.
- On the day we arrive in good time, set up and start the stock.
- Your guests watch the paella cook, with any tapas served first.
- It’s served straight from the pan, and we pack down afterwards.

Local landmarks in Brockham
Events here are often close to North Downs Primary School, Inn on The Green and The Ashcombe School and the streets around them. The nearest railway station is Betchworth station, about 1.1 miles north-east. Nearby you will also find Reigate Priory Museum (3.3 miles east) and Headley Court (3.9 miles north). Catering events across RH3
RH3 covers everything from Brockham, Betchworth and Strood Green to 5 small villages and hamlets, and live paella suits every kind of setting. In towns, plan parking and access; in villages, tell us about lanes and ground. Parts of RH3 are within a few miles of the Surrey Hills National Landscape, where some venues have extra rules about vehicles and cooking.
Brockham: Thinking of a picnic-style party in Brockham Limeworks? Public parks generally need permission from the council or landowner for cooking, so check first. If you’re organising a summer fair for a school like North Downs Primary School, a paella stall is a crowd-pleaser. Evenings in Brockham stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; once it is dark, we need light to cook and serve by.
What affects the price in RH3
We will give you a clear, itemised quote. What affects it most:
- The length of service
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- How many guests are eating
- Distance and access to the venue
Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.
Details that help
To check availability and price, we need:
- Where the event is
- Which courses you have in mind
- Expected numbers
- Diets and allergies you know about
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. To get started, send us your details through our quote form.
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
A DIY paella party works for small groups. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.
The menu, dish by dish
Vegetable and vegan paella
Seasonal vegetables on a rich sofrito base make a paella that stands on its own. Vegan versions use plant-based stock.
Seafood paella
Prawns, mussels and squid in a rich fish stock, finished with lemon wedges. It is the pan people photograph.
Events we cater in RH3
Few dishes cope with mixed diets like paella, because each version is cooked in its own pan. Nobody gets a token ‘special meal’.
If you’re planning any of these, we can help:
- Festivals, fairs and school events
- Anniversary celebrations
- Weddings, from canapés to evening food
- Garden parties and summer barbecues
Dietary needs and planning tips
Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:
- Pick a mix of paellas to cover every diet
- Plan seating for most guests: paella is easiest eaten sitting down
- Let us know about other food at the event
- Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
Paella is at its best straight from the pan, so we plan service for when guests are ready to eat.
Bread, salad and lemon go well alongside and suit guests who aren’t big rice eaters.
Common questions in RH3
Do you do desserts?
Yes. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.
How do you work out quantities?
We plan quantities from your guest numbers, timings and other courses, with a sensible margin. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.
How much does paella catering cost in RH3?
Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas and we will reply with a price.
Are premium seafood options available?
We’ll suggest seafood to suit your menu and budget. Premium shellfish can be added.
Do you take everything away?
Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.
Can paella be the only main course?
It is a full meal on its own. Many hosts add tapas first or dessert after.
When do you arrive?
That depends on your menu and numbers. We will agree arrival, cooking and serving times with you so the paella is ready when you want it.
