Paella catering in RH2: what to expect

Live paella catering means we bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients to your event and cook in front of your guests. Once it is ready, we serve it hot from the pan. Popular choices include vegan paella, paella Valenciana and mixed paella, and typical bookings are for summer garden parties and staff parties and work lunches.

From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you’re free to enjoy your event. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first while the paella cooks.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We put together a menu and a clear quote.
  3. On the day we arrive in good time, set up and start the stock.
  4. Your guests watch the paella cook, with any tapas served first.
  5. We serve it hot from the pan and clear our area when service ends.

Catering events across RH2

From Redhill, Reigate and Earlswood to 8 villages and hamlets, events across RH2 range from town-centre venues to gardens and fields, and live paella suits every kind of setting. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access.

Reigate: For a christening or wedding at a church such as Church of St Mary Magdalene, a paella lunch or reception nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. School fairs and fundraisers, for a school such as Reigate Priory Community Junior School, can book us as a food stall. Evenings in Reigate stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; after dark, the cooking and serving areas need good lighting.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Put allergy details in writing
  • Pick a mix of paellas to cover every diet
  • Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
  • Ensure each pan is labelled

Let the paella rest for a few minutes before serving, and that’s when we invite guests up.

Tapas or canapés make a good start as the rice cooks.

Your questions about paella catering in RH2

Do you have a kids’ option?

Of course. A simple chicken paella is generally popular with children. Include children in your numbers.

How many paellas should we have?

Normally two or three, so every guest has a choice. We will recommend a mix based on diets.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan paellas are cooked in separate pans.

Is it really cooked live?

Yes. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, in front of your guests.

What happens if it rains?

A covered, ventilated spot keeps us cooking in the rain. We’ll make a plan B with you.

Is paella enough as a main?

It can be. Paella with bread and salad makes a full main course.

What happens with live paella?

We arrive with pans, burners and ingredients, cook while everyone watches, and serve when you’re ready to eat.
