Live paella party catering in Slough

Paella party catering in Slough, cooked live

Most gardens can host a paella party, if there is a level spot away from fences and trees. Not sure? Send a picture. Typical bookings include baby celebrations and wakes and memorial gatherings, serving mixed paella, vegetable paella and chicken and chorizo paella.

In Slough, parties range from back gardens to function rooms and clubs. Live paella needs a level, ventilated spot outside or under cover. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

How it works

Serving is fast: we serve straight from the pan, so large groups are fed quickly. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. A summer party in Slough stays light until about 9:25pm at midsummer, so a garden party can run well into the evening. In late September it is dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. Send us your date, address and numbers.
  2. We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
  3. We set up before guests arrive.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook.
  5. We serve from the pan and pack down.

Before we arrive

  • Choose a level spot for the cooking area
  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
  • Give us a contact for the day

Prices and what affects them

We’ll give you a clear, itemised quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Guest numbers
  • Whether you need crockery
  • Parking and unloading
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

What to tell us

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • What the venue already provides

Send us the date, your venue or SL1 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, use our quote form.

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Warn the neighbours
  • Plan seats for most guests
  • Have cover ready for a shower
  • Keep children and pets away from the burners

Where we can cook in Slough

Before the day, we’ll agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site

Common questions in Slough

We’re having a ceremony at St Michael and All Angels: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is normally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

What’s the nearest station to Slough for guests?

Slough station, about 0.7 miles east of the centre.

Can you cater at a hired venue?

Frequently, yes. We need a suitable spot and the venue’s agreement.

Is it really cooked live?

Yes. We arrive with everything we need and cook it there and then, then serve straight from the pan.

Should we have more than one paella?

Two or three covers most guests. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.

Do you cater for children?

Most children enjoy paella, particularly a simple chicken pan. Let us know numbers and ages.

What do you need at the venue?

Not a lot: a flat spot away from anything flammable, with space to serve. Send us a photo if you’re not sure.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it is worth asking.

DIY paella versus live catering

Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, keep the stock hot, and don’t stir once the rice goes in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

Live paella or other catering?

If you want special but not formal, live paella fits perfectly. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll put together a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can be a feast.
