Paella party catering in Bosham

Questions from Bosham

Do you come out to small places like Bosham?

No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

Can you cater a reception after a service at The United Reformed Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.

Can you cater for children?

Children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we’ll plan for them.

Do you cater in Bosham?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Bosham and the rest of West Sussex. For a quote, fill in our quote form.

Can you do sangria?

Sangria, yes. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.

Should we have more than one paella?

Most events have two or three: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We’ll help you decide the split.

Is it really cooked live?

Yes, always. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, in front of your guests.

Do you cook inside?

Typically we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, since the burners are gas. Some venues have suitable spaces; we’ll check with you and the venue.

DIY paella versus live catering

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and don’t stir once the rice goes in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Before you choose a spot

We’ll be honest if a space won’t work. What matters most:

  • Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Churros

Is live paella right for your party?

If you want special but not formal, live paella is hard to beat. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.

What you get with us

  • Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available
  • Drinks service on request
  • Every diet catered for, pan by pan
  • A clear, itemised quote

How it works

Your timings come first. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, we hold the paella at the right stage so it’s still served fresh. A summer party in Bosham stays light until about 9:20pm at midsummer, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. Send us your date, address and numbers.
  2. We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
  3. We set up before guests arrive.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook.
  5. We serve from the pan and pack down.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ensure we can park close by to unload
  • Plan cover in case of rain
  • Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

Prices and what affects them

There are no hidden charges: the price is based on:

  • Parking and unloading
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Timings and hours
  • How many courses

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for live paella. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. Your quote spells it all out.

What to tell us

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • Expected numbers
  • The courses you’d like
  • The date and rough timings
  • A picture of the space, if you can

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. You can use our quote form.
