Paella party catering in Adelphi, made fresh on the day

A paella party works in most gardens, if there’s a level spot away from fences and trees. Not sure? Send a photo. We cook seafood paella, tapas and churros, and we’re frequently booked for garden get-togethers and milestone birthdays.

Most parties in Adelphi are in back gardens, which in London can be compact. We need a level spot clear of fences and trees, and somewhere to park and unload. Send a photo of the garden. We plan the timings around your day, so the paella is ready when you want to eat.

Organising for someone else?

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

How we price paella party catering

Your quote will be clear and itemised. The main things that affect it are:

  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • How many guests are eating
  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • The length of service

Larger events generally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What we need to know

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • The date and rough timings
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, send us your details through our quote form.

How it works

From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you can enjoy your party. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first as the rice is cooking. For a late-May party in Adelphi, sunset is around 8:50pm; at midsummer it’s about 9:20pm. If the party runs past dark, we’ll need light where we cook and serve.

  1. First, we check the date and the space.
  2. You choose your paellas and any extras.
  3. We set up the burners and start the sofrito.
  4. The rice goes in and your guests gather round.
  5. We serve hot and tidy our area afterwards.

Preparing for the day

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Adelphi parties: what to know

Adelphi is about 1 mile south-east of Marylebone, in Greater London. Whether your party is in the middle of Adelphi or on the outskirts, paella party catering works the same way: paella cooked live, every diet catered for and a clear quote. Adelphi is one of 764 places in Greater London where we cook.

For guests coming by train, Adelphi has its own station, London Charing Cross station. Christenings and naming days often start at a local church such as Savoy Chapel, with a paella lunch at home or in a hall afterwards.

Paella party catering in W1D, W1F and WC2H is planned around your venue and your guests. Whether your party is on York Road, Drury Lane and Maiden Lane or anywhere nearby, we can cook there. You will find Adelphi on the A301 and A400, so it is easy for us to reach with the van and pans. If your venue is just outside Adelphi, we also cover Covent Garden (1 mile north), Charing Cross (1 mile south-west), Aldwych (1 mile north-east), Seven Dials (1 mile north-west) and West End (1 mile north-west). We also cook in nearby towns such as Kensington (3 miles west), Walthamstow (7 miles north-east), Hampstead (4 miles north-west), Ruislip (13 miles west), Stockwell (3 miles south) and Orpington (13 miles south-east).

A little further out are Montfichet's Tower (1 mile east) and Savoy Hospital (less than half a mile north-east). Green spaces nearby include St. James's Park Lake and Barnsbury Wood.

  • Schools near Adelphi include London Nautical School (0.6 miles east) and St Andrew's and St John's Church of England Primary School (0.7 miles south-east)
  • Local pubs include The Theodore Bullfrog pub (within half a mile south-west)
  • Parks and local facilities nearby include Liberty of the Savoy (under half a mile east) and The BFI Reuben Library (within half a mile south-east)

Paella compared with other options

Home-made buffets take ages and sit out for hours. Paella is cooked fresh and served hot. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so your choice of paellas affects the total. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Why choose Love Paella in Adelphi

  • Paella cooked from scratch on site
  • Real theatre, not just catering
  • A quote that spells everything out
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts

Take a look at Our prices page Or Our guide to catering costs.

Questions from Adelphi

What about parking in Adelphi?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. We’ll work around it.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Savoy Chapel?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Do you offer halal options?

Yes. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in a separate pan.

Do you cook it at the event?

Yes, always. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, in front of your guests.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, sangria. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.

Can you provide dessert?

Yes. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.

Is paella OK for kids?

Most children enjoy paella, particularly a simple chicken pan. Let us know numbers and ages.

Can you supply plates?

On request. Proper crockery or good-quality disposables can be added.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
