Paella catering near Weston

About the dishes

Seafood paella

The secret is a well-made seafood stock. The shellfish is added late so it stays tender.

Paella Valenciana

The original paella from Valencia is a countryside dish of chicken and vegetables, not seafood. It is a favourite with guests who do not eat fish.

About our paella catering in Weston

One cooking area feeds a lot of people, very little goes to waste, and the food is served hot. It’s why live paella suits so many kinds of event. We cook seafood paella, chicken and chorizo paella and black rice, and we are often booked for naming days and family parties and garden parties and summer barbecues.

For a rural spot like Weston, the countryside is part of the appeal: a paella cooking in a garden or field feels right at home. Tell us about access and the ground. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

Organising for someone else?

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We will provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.

Paella compared with other options

Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, live paella is easier for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests, because each paella has its own pan. It is served quickly from the pan, so queues move. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.

What you get with us

  • Sangria and bar staff available
  • Real theatre, not just catering
  • A clear, itemised quote
  • Paella cooked from scratch on site

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Catering for every guest

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Tell us what else is being served
  • Plan a meat, a seafood and a vegetable or vegan pan
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Request clear labels at the serving table

If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can enjoy your guests.

Sangria and bar staff can be added for your own drinks.

Step by step

The paella is cooked in huge, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand. Around midsummer it stays light in Weston until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 4:00pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.

  1. First, you send us your date, venue, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest a menu and confirm a quote, including what’s included.
  3. We arrive early, set up the cooking area and start the stock.
  4. The rice cooks in full view, while tapas or canapés go round.
  5. We serve from the pan, then clear our cooking area away.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us where to park and unload
  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
