Paella catering near Grove

Questions from Grove

Is Grove close to London?

About 58 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.

Can you cook in Betjeman Millennium Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, normally the council. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.

Can you feed a lot of people?

Yes. Large pans and fast service from the pan make it well suited to crowds.

Do you bring everything you need?

We bring the pans, burners and ingredients. You provide a suitable spot and access.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Of course. We cook vegetarian and vegan paellas in their own pans.

What is live paella catering?

We set up a cooking area at your venue, cook the paella from scratch in large pans while your guests watch, and serve it straight from the pan.

Can you do sangria?

Sangria can be added, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.

What does paella catering cost?

Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas and we’ll reply with a price.

Paella catering for your event in Grove

Almost any venue with a level, ventilated spot will do: a garden, marquee, barn, courtyard or field in and around Grove. On the menu are paella Valenciana, vegetable paella and mixed paella, and we are regularly asked to cater anniversaries and engagement parties and weddings and evening receptions.

A place like Grove often has a hall, a club or a pub garden nearby; live paella can work at any of them, given permission and outdoor space. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included, with each paella cooked in its own pan and clearly labelled.

Step by step

We arrive in good time before you want to eat, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Guests usually gather round to watch as the paella takes shape. Around midsummer it stays light in Grove until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan the menu with you, including every diet.
  3. We arrive early to set up the burners and pans.
  4. The paella cooks as guests gather round.
  5. We serve hot from the pan and clear our cooking area.

Before we arrive

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Check the venue allows live cooking
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely

DIY paella versus live catering

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, paella makes vegetarian, vegan and halal guests easier to cater for, because each paella has its own pan. It’s served quickly from the pan, so queues move. The cost per head typically falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why book with us

What paella catering costs

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Timings and hours
  • The paellas you choose
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables

Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Everything is confirmed in writing.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • A photo of the space, if you can
  • What the venue already provides
  • Which courses you have in mind

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and we will reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, send us your details through our quote form.

Before you choose a spot

If a space isn’t suitable, we will tell you, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think before you book.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

About the dishes

Black rice
