Festival paella catering for your event in Grove

One paella stall covers many diets: separate meat, seafood and vegan pans. That makes life easier for organisers. For farmers’ and Christmas markets and community events and open days, we can cook giant-pan paella, churros and chicken and chorizo paella.

Around Grove, a fête or summer fair suits a giant paella pan. Send us the pitch and access details. We serve straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and service is quick once it is ready.

Catering for every guest

Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Ask for allergen information at each stall
  • Ask traders about serving speed at peak times
  • Feed crew and volunteers at set times
  • Provide seating near the food

We cook in full view of visitors, and serve from the pan throughout the event.

Should I cook it myself?

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it is harder than it looks. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

The process

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand. For an evening event in Grove, sunset is about 9:00pm in late May and 9:25pm in late June; after dark, we need a lit pitch.

  1. First, we check the dates.
  2. We agree what we will serve and where.
  3. We set up our burners and pans.
  4. Pans are cooking as gates open.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Do you trade at school fairs around Grove?

Yes, with the school’s permission. Tell us the date and pitch details.

How do you work out quantities?

Pans are sized to your numbers and other courses. Tell us what else is being served. Our guide to portions explains more.

Do you provide plates and cutlery?

If you need them, yes. Proper crockery or quality disposables are available.

Do you do starters?

Yes. Canapé tapas with the drinks, or table tapas to share, while the rice is cooking.

Is the paella gluten-free?

Yes, on request. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.
