Paella catering in Churt
Organising for someone else?
For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so everyone eats promptly. Tell us how long you have for food.
If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.
Paella catering for your event in Churt
Everything is cooked from scratch on site, beginning with a sofrito of onion, garlic, peppers and tomato, then the stock, saffron and rice. For office lunches and staff parties and big birthdays, we will put together a menu of black rice, paella Valenciana and chicken and chorizo paella for your guests.
In a rural place like Churt, the setting does plenty of the work: a huge pan in a garden or field fits perfectly. Tell us about access and the ground. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: menu, staff, crockery and anything else you choose.
Why choose live paella in Churt?
Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, live paella is easier for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests, thanks to separate pans. Service from the pan keeps queues moving. Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you can choose exactly what you need.
Why Churt hosts choose us
- Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
- Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
- No hidden extras in your quote
- Crockery and waiting staff if you need them

For a christening or wedding at a church such as St John the Evangelist, a paella lunch or reception nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. Churt is within about 3 miles of the Surrey Hills National Landscape, and country venues and gardens there suit live paella perfectly. Some venues in protected landscapes have rules about vehicles and cooking, so check with yours.

Prices and what affects them
These are the factors that matter most:
- How long we are needed on site
- Your choice of paellas
- Plates, cutlery and glassware
- Parking and unloading
Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We’ll send you a quote.
What to tell us
A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- Anything your venue supplies
- A photo of the cooking space, if it is a garden or field
- Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, use our quote form.
Diets, allergies and planning
A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:
- Send allergies to us in writing
- Tell us what else is being served
- Pick a mix of paellas to cover every diet
- Request clear labels at the serving table
If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can relax.
We can add sangria and bar staff to serve drinks you provide.
How it works
When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so we time everything to your schedule. Planning an evening event in Churt? Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September; after dark, the cooking and serving areas need good lighting.
- You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
- You get a suggested menu and an itemised quote.
- On the day we arrive in good time, set up and start the stock.
- The paella cooks in front of your guests, with tapas first if you’ve chosen them.
- We serve from the pan, then clear our cooking area away.
Getting ready for the day
- Have a level space ready for the pans
- Confirm numbers and diets before the day
- Name one person we can ask on the day
