Festival paella catering in Old Ford, cooked live
A paella stall covers several diets at once: separate meat, seafood and vegan pans. That makes life easier for organisers. For seasonal markets and agricultural and county shows, we can cook seafood paella, churros and chicken and chorizo paella and more.
Street parties and school fairs in Old Ford are a great fit for a paella stall, as long as the road closure or site permission is in place. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

- Vehicle access before and after the event

Prices and what affects them
Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:
- Guest numbers
- The length of service
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- Whether you need crockery
Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.
What we need to know
You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:
- Diets and allergies you know about
- Anything your venue supplies
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- The date and rough timings
We quote for each event separately, so you only pay for what you need. To ask for one, fill in our quote form.
Should I cook it myself?
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.
Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
The process
Here’s how the day usually runs: we set up the pans and start the sofrito, the rice cooks in front of your guests, and it’s served hot from the pan at the agreed time. Evening events in Old Ford have light until about 9:20pm at midsummer; after that, the pitch needs good lighting.
- Organisers send us the event details, dates and pitch information.
- We confirm what we’ll serve, our pitch needs and any paperwork.
- On the day, we arrive and set up our pitch.
- Pans cook in full view and we serve throughout the event.
- We clear the pitch and leave it clean.
Getting ready for the day
- Confirm numbers and diets before the day
- Get the venue’s permission for cooking
- Make sure we can park close by to unload

Your questions about festival paella catering in Old Ford
Could we have live paella in Grove Hall Park?
Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.
Is parking a problem for events in Old Ford?
It can be, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. We’ll work around it.
Do you do starters?
Of course. Canapé tapas with the drinks, or table tapas to share, served while the paella cooks.
Can you cook indoors?
Normally we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, since the burners are gas. We will check whether your venue has a suitable space.
What happens if it rains?
We cook under cover, such as a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We plan for rain with you in advance.
Can you cook halal paella?
Yes, we do. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in its own pan.
Do you cater for young children?
Of course. Children often love a simple chicken paella. Tell us how many are coming.
Is it really cooked live?
Yes, always. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, in front of your guests.
Diets, allergies and planning
Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. Here are a few tips for planning:
- Feed crew and volunteers at set times
- Agree waste arrangements with traders
- Ask for allergen information at each stall
- Send traders one clear trader pack
We keep our pitch tidy and safe.
Bowl food for easy eating on the move.
Is live paella right for your event?
Some traders struggle with vegan and gluten-free options. A vegan paella pan sits alongside the others. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.
