How it works

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so we time everything to your schedule. For an evening event in Colnbrook, sunset is about 8:55pm in late May and 9:25pm in late June; after dark, we need a lit pitch.

  1. First, we check the dates.
  2. We agree menu and pitch.
  3. We set up our burners and pans.
  4. The first pans are ready as visitors arrive.
  5. We serve, then clear the pitch at the end.

How to prepare

  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day

About the dishes

Giant paella pans

Huge pans of golden rice.

Should I cook it myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Live paella or other catering?

For crew catering, sandwiches are easy but uninspiring. A hot meal keeps crew happy. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed before booking.

What you get with us

  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Real theatre, not just catering
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • No hidden extras in your quote
