Wedding paella catering in Westfield

Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Westfield

A wedding paella is food and entertainment at once. Guests drift over to watch the pans while the photos are being taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. We cook table tapas, a paella wedding breakfast and Spanish desserts, and we are regularly asked to cater civil partnerships and vow renewals and weddings with a Spanish theme.

There’s something special about a country wedding near Westfield, and paella cooking in the open air adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

Church Wood and Robsack Wood nearby makes a lovely backdrop for photos. With the coast within about 4 miles, a seafood paella suits a seaside-style wedding. We will plan shelter from sea breezes.

Before you choose a spot

Before the day, we will agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
  • Access for unloading near the cooking spot
  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before you book.

Is live paella right for your wedding?

Compared with formal catering, live paella is relaxed and sociable, but with the right extras it feels just as special. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

What you get with us

  • Crockery and waiting staff if you need them
  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
  • Sangria and bar staff available
  • A quote that spells everything out

How the day works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up the pans and burners, and cook and serve without fuss. At midsummer, sunset in Westfield is about 9:15pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:45pm, and in late September about 7:00pm.

  1. First, we check your date.
  2. You pick the courses and dishes.
  3. We confirm the plan with your coordinator.
  4. The pans cook while guests enjoy the drinks.
  5. We serve and clear our cooking area.

Before we arrive

  • Plan cover in case of rain
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
  • Let us know the timings for the day

Planning help

Prices and what affects them

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • The length of service
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Getting an accurate quote

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Which courses you have in mind
  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • What the venue already provides
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

Should I cook it myself?

Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Organising for someone else?

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

If you are organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Westfield: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Westfield?

Doleham station, about 1.6 miles north-east of the centre.

What about events near the coast?

Yes, as long as we can shelter from the wind. Sea breezes cool the pan, so a windbreak, building or gazebo helps.

Will you talk to our venue?

Yes, and it saves you passing messages. Introduce us and we’ll sort the details.

What if the weather’s bad?

We need a covered spot, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We plan for rain with you in advance.

Can you bring crockery?

If you need them, yes. Crockery, cutlery and napkins, or good-quality disposables can be added to your booking.

Do you take everything away?

We clear our cooking area away when service is finished. Waiting staff can clear tables if you book them.

Do you cater for young children?

Children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan a pan with them in mind.

Can you cook halal paella?

We can. Let us know your halal numbers, and we will cook a separate pan.

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Count day and evening guests separately
  • Book early for summer Saturdays
  • Tell us when speeches will be
  • Let us know about meals for your band or photographer

We normally set up where guests can watch, and it makes a great photo.

Spanish desserts, or your own wedding cake, finish the meal.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
