About our wedding paella catering in Waterloo
We plan the wedding menu with you, course by course, around your guests, your venue and your budget. For farm and barn venues and evening wedding food, we’ll put together a menu of evening paella, canapé tapas and table tapas and more.
In Waterloo, getting guests from ceremony to reception is part of the plan. Paella can be cooking while they’re on the move, ready to serve on arrival. We serve straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.

Live paella or other catering?
Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Separate paella pans cover every diet. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. Every event gets its own quote.
Why us?

Why choose wedding paella catering in Waterloo?
A sharing-style meal gets guests talking across the tables.
In Waterloo and nearby, we cater all sorts of events. Some of the most common are:
- Weddings with a Spanish theme
- Evening food for extra guests
- Weddings with lots of dietary needs
- Weddings in a marquee or garden
Nearby historic houses include Benjamin Franklin House (0.7 miles north-west) and Dr Johnson's House (1 mile north). If your reception is at a historic house or estate, ask early about its rules on caterers and live cooking.
What to look for in a quote
- Travel and parking costs
- Space, access and power needs
- Staff numbers and hours
- Plates, cutlery and napkins, or disposables
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.
Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it’s harder than it looks. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.
Your questions about wedding paella catering in Waterloo
Which station should guests use for Waterloo?
London Waterloo station, in Waterloo itself.
We’re having a ceremony at Christ Church: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
Can you provide dessert?
We can add a dessert. Let us know if you’d like one when you ask for a quote.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.
Is the paella cooked on site?
Yes. We arrive with everything we need and cook it there and then, serving it hot from the pan.
Will you talk to our venue?
Yes. We will speak to your venue about access and timings.
Can you cater the whole day?
Any part of the day, or all of it, from the drinks reception to the evening.
Should we have more than one paella?
Normally two or three, so every guest has a choice. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.
What wedding paella catering costs
Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:
- Parking and unloading
- Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
- Your choice of paellas
- How many guests are eating
Compared with a plated meal, live paella is frequently good value, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. Ask us for a quote.
Getting an accurate quote
The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Please include:
- The date and time of the event
- A photo of the space, if you can
- Roughly how many adults and children
- What the venue already provides
Still deciding on the menu? That is fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll make suggestions. To start, send us your details through our quote form.
How it works
When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so we time everything to your schedule. At midsummer, sunset in Waterloo is about 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.
- Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
- We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- We cook live on the day and serve every course on cue.
- We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.
Preparing for the day
- Confirm numbers and diets before the day
- Get the venue’s permission for cooking
- Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
