- Ask about your date as soon as you have one
- Pick a serving style
- Ask about diets and allergies with your RSVPs
We keep in touch with your venue coordinator or toastmaster on the day, so you can enjoy yourselves.

Wedding paella catering in Upper Ifield, cooked live
Saffron and garlic in the air gets guests excited about the meal long before it’s served. We are often asked to cater farm and barn venues and weddings with mixed diets, with evening paella, Spanish desserts and canapé tapas.
Near Upper Ifield, weddings are frequently in fields, barns or gardens. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Let us know about access and ground. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.
Space, weather and the venue
Most outdoor spaces and many venues work for live paella, but a few things matter:
- Parking close enough to carry equipment
- A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
- Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise.

How the day works
On the day, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. Golden-hour photos in Upper Ifield at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:00pm.
- Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
- Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
- Afterwards we clear our area; any staff you’ve booked stay as planned.
How to prepare
- Arrange parking near the cooking spot
- Give us your final numbers and diets
- Name one person we can ask on the day

Planning help
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Why live cooking beats a buffet
Food trucks serve one order at a time, which can mean long queues at a wedding. Paella is served quickly to many guests. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. Your quote spells it all out.

Upper Ifield: your questions answered
Do you come out to small places like Upper Ifield?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.
How far is Upper Ifield from London?
Roughly 23 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it as standard.
Can the paella be cooked in a hall?
Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Courtyards, doorways and terraces often work.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.
Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?
Yes, and meat eaters frequently go back for seconds. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.
Can you feed our photographer and band?
Just add them to your numbers. Tell us when they’ll eat.
Do you provide drinks?
Sangria, yes. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.
How much space do you need?
Level ground for the burners, pans and a table, in the open air or a ventilated covered area, and the venue’s permission for live cooking.
Working with your venue
If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.
If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.
What affects the price in Upper Ifield
The price comes down to a few factors:
- Distance and access to the venue
- Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
- How many courses
- Whether you need crockery
Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.
Getting an accurate quote
You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:
- Whether the venue has crockery or staff
- Diets and allergies you know about
- A picture of the space, if you can
- The date and time of the event
Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.
