Wedding paella catering near Sheldwich

How our wedding paella catering works in Sheldwich

A paella wedding makes mixed diets simple: each paella has its own pan, so every guest gets a proper hot main. Whether it is evening wedding food and garden and marquee weddings, we’ll put together a menu of Spanish desserts, table tapas and evening paella for your guests.

A wedding in a small place like Sheldwich often means a field, a barn or a family garden. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Let us know about access and ground. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Choosing a paella caterer

About the dishes

Table tapas

Tapas set out on every table to share, from bravas to croquetas and Manchego.

Paella wedding breakfast

A choice of paellas, served at the pans or to the tables, with bread and salad.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Food trucks serve one order at a time, which can mean long queues at a wedding. Paella pans serve many guests quickly. The cost per head typically falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why book with us

  • Fast service from the pan
  • Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available
  • Live cooking, not reheated food
  • Events in Sheldwich and across Kent

Step by step

When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. Golden-hour photos in Sheldwich at midsummer come around 9:15pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan your menu course by course.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue.
  4. On the day, we cook and serve each course.
  5. We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.

Preparing for the day

  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

Working with your venue

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We will provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Diets, allergies and planning

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Here’s how:

  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Pick a serving style
  • Tell us about suppliers who need feeding
  • Book early for summer Saturdays

We clear our cooking area away afterwards; staff you’ve booked stay as agreed.

Spanish desserts, or your own wedding cake, finish the meal.

FAQs for Sheldwich

Which station should guests use for Sheldwich?

Selling station, about 2.6 miles east of the centre.

Do you come out to small places like Sheldwich?

No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.

Will you talk to our venue?

Yes, it makes life easier. Put us in touch and we’ll agree the details.

Will there be enough food?

We size the pans for your numbers and the rest of the menu. Tell us what else is being served. See how much paella per person.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan for them.

Can you provide dessert?

We do. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices.

What if the weather’s bad?

We need a covered spot, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We plan for rain with you in advance.

What areas do you cover?

We cover London and the South East, including Kent. Find your area.

Should I cook it myself?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and don’t stir once the rice goes in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

Planning the cooking area

Safety and good cooking both depend on the spot we use. We look for:

  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
  • The venue’s permission for live cooking
  • Access for unloading near the cooking spot

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before booking.
