About our wedding paella catering in Queen's Bower

At a wedding, paella is both the meal and a bit of a show. Guests drift over to watch the pans while the photos are being taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. Typical bookings include evening food for extra guests and rustic barn weddings, with Spanish desserts, table tapas and a paella wedding breakfast.

Near Queen's Bower, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That’s exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen needed, just a level, sheltered spot. Let us know about access and ground. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

For event organisers in Queen's Bower

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can hold the date.

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.

Prices and what affects them

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Guest numbers
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • Distance and access to the venue

Compared with a plated meal, live paella is frequently good value, as there is no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. We will send you a quote.

What to tell us

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Which courses you have in mind
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • The venue or postcode

The quickest way to a quote is to send us your details through our quote form. Tell us about your wedding in Queen's Bower, and we’ll suggest paellas and extras to suit.

Planning the cooking area

Before the day, we will agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Level ground for the pans and burners
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable

Queen's Bower is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Queen's Bower questions

Do you come out to small places like Queen's Bower?

No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.

We are having a ceremony at All Saints' Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Can you cater for children?

Of course. A simple chicken paella is typically popular with children. Tell us how many are coming.

Can you cook in the rain?

Rain doesn’t stop us, as long as there’s a ventilated cover. We will make a plan B with you.

Do you do vegan paella?

Yes. We cook vegetarian and vegan paellas in their own pans.

Do you take everything away?

We clear our cooking area away when service is finished. Waiting staff can clear tables if you book them.

Where do you cater?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

Is the paella gluten-free?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.

A second round of paella for the evening, served quickly so the party keeps going.

Table tapas

Sharing tapas breaks the ice.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and don’t stir once the rice goes in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

The process

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. Golden-hour photos in Queen's Bower at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September.

  1. We start with your date, venue, numbers and ideas.
  2. We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue, including speeches and photos.
  4. On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.
