Wedding paella catering for Pedlinge events

How our wedding paella catering works in Pedlinge

We can add sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff, to suit the style of your day. We cook canapé tapas, table tapas and evening paella, and we are regularly asked to cater garden and marquee weddings and food for evening guests.

A wedding in a small place like Pedlinge frequently means a field, a barn or a family garden. That’s exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen needed, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We cook every pan in full view of your guests, so the food is hot, fresh and part of the occasion.

How the day works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up the pans and burners, and cook and serve without fuss. Golden-hour photos in Pedlinge at midsummer come around 9:15pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September.

  1. We start with your date, venue, numbers and ideas.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. Afterwards we clear our area; any staff you’ve booked stay as planned.

Before we arrive

  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking

Planning the cooking area

We’ll agree the cooking spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before booking.

FAQs for Pedlinge

Could we have live paella in Brockhill Country Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, usually the council. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.

Do you come out to small places like Pedlinge?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Is it really cooked live?

Yes. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, where your guests can watch.

Do you offer halal options?

Yes. Halal paella is cooked with halal chicken and no pork or alcohol, in its own pan.

Do you do desserts?

We do. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices.

What areas do you cover?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Pedlinge.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, sangria. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.

How many different paellas?

Most events have two or three: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We will suggest a split based on your guests.

Prices and what affects them

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • How many courses
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • The paellas you choose

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

What we need to know

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Anything your venue supplies
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • Roughly how many adults and children

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, the courses you’d like and any extras. When you are ready, send us your details through our quote form.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

If you are weighing up paella against a traditional menu, think about your venue, your guests’ diets and the feel of the day. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Why Pedlinge hosts choose us

  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
  • Real theatre, not just catering
  • Live cooking, not reheated food
