How our wedding paella catering works in North End

We can cater your whole wedding day or one part of it: canapés, a tapas starter, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and dessert. We’re often asked to cater farm and barn venues and destination-style celebrations at home, with canapé tapas, table tapas and a paella wedding breakfast.

Weddings in a place like North End frequently feel personal: a local church, then a marquee in a garden or field. A giant pan on the lawn fits right in. Tell us about access to the field or garden. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

How to compare caterers

Common questions in North End

We’re having a ceremony at St. Mark’s: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

How far is North End from London?

Roughly 64 miles from the centre of London.

Do you offer tastings?

Mention a tasting in your enquiry, and we’ll talk you through it.

Can you do sangria?

Sangria can be added, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.

Can you cook indoors?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.

Can you bring crockery?

Yes, if you need them. Let us know what you have, and we’ll quote for the rest.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down our cooking area after service. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.

How many different paellas?

Most events have two or three: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We’ll help you decide the split.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Planning for every diet

Paella is one of the easiest dishes for mixed diets, because every paella has its own pan. A few tips:

  • Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one
  • Connect us with your coordinator
  • Tell us about suppliers who need feeding

The pans are often set up where guests can see them, and it makes a great photo.

Finish with Spanish desserts or your cake.

Paella compared with other options

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Paella covers them with separate pans. Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.

The process

The paella is cooked in huge, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, and we agree where that is before the day. For a summer wedding in North End, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, which means evening paella is usually served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan your menu course by course.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue.
  4. On the day, we cook and serve each course.
  5. We clear our area; staff stay as booked.

Before we arrive

  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
