Wedding paella catering in Rudmore, made fresh on the day
Timing is everything with paella: once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, and it is best served right away. We time it around your speeches and photos. For blessings and vow renewals and barn and farm weddings, we will put together a menu of Spanish desserts, evening paella and a paella wedding breakfast.
In Rudmore, a local ceremony and a marquee reception is a lovely, personal choice. Paella cooked on the lawn suits that perfectly. Let us know about access for the van. We plan the timings around your day, so the paella is ready when you want to eat.

Space, weather and the venue
Before the day, we will agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

- Level ground for the pans and burners
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise.

Is live paella right for your wedding?
Plated wedding meals need a kitchen and more staff. Live paella needs a level, ventilated spot and the venue’s permission, and feels more relaxed. Got a budget? Let us know, and we will suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can be a feast.

Read How we price And Our guide to catering costs.
Prices and what affects them
The price comes down to a few factors:
- Whether you need crockery
- Travel, parking and access
- The number of people
- How many courses
Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, along with staff, extras and travel. Every event gets its own quote.
What we need to know
You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
- A photo of the space, if you can
- The venue or postcode
The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. When you are ready, fill in our quote form.
Catering for every guest
Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. Here are a few tips for planning:
- Count day and evening guests separately
- Tell us when speeches will be
- Decide whether guests queue at the pans or are served at the tables
- Connect us with your coordinator
Guests can queue at the pans, or staff can serve the tables, whichever suits your day.
Sangria and bar staff can be added.
FAQs for Rudmore
Could we have live paella in Alexandra Park?
Only if the landowner, normally the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.
Can you cater a reception after a service at The Grapes?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is normally elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.
Can you liaise with the venue coordinator?
Yes. We are happy to talk to your venue about access, timings and requirements.
What does wedding paella catering cost?
Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. Tell us your date and numbers for a clear quote.
Is it really cooked live?
Yes, always. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, in front of your guests.
Do you clear up afterwards?
We pack down our cooking area after service. Waiting staff can clear tables if you book them.
Is the paella gluten-free?
We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.
Should we have more than one paella?
Two or three covers most guests. We’ll recommend a mix based on diets.
Why choose wedding paella catering in Rudmore?

Planning photos in Alexandra Park? It is worth checking the park’s rules first. With the coast within about 3 miles, a seafood paella suits a seaside-style wedding. We will plan shelter from sea breezes.

For planners, venues and organisers
Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.
If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.
What happens on the day
We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you are free to enjoy your wedding. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first as the rice is cooking. For a summer wedding in Rudmore, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, which means evening paella is generally served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it’s dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.
- You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
- We plan a menu with you, course by course, and confirm a quote.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
- Afterwards we clear our area; any staff you’ve booked stay as planned.
Preparing for the day
- Arrange parking near the cooking spot
- Give us a contact for the day
- Give us your final numbers and diets
