Live wedding paella catering in Mystole

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

About our wedding paella catering in Mystole

We plan the wedding menu with you, course by course, around your guests, your venue and your budget. We cook canapé tapas, evening paella and Spanish desserts, and we are regularly asked to cater food for evening guests and weddings with mixed diets.

Near Mystole, weddings are frequently in fields, barns or gardens. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: the menu, the staff and any extras, with no surprises on the day.

Put the station on your invitation: the nearest station is Chartham station, about 0.9 miles north-east. Couples marrying at local churches such as Church of St Mary frequently hold the reception nearby: the paella can be cooking while you have photos taken, so the meal is ready when you arrive. The Kent Downs National Landscape is within about 6 miles of Mystole, with plenty of rural wedding settings. Ask your venue about access and cooking rules.

Anywhere in CT4, we can bring wedding paella catering to you, from busy streets to quiet lanes. How it works

From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you are free to enjoy your wedding. Any tapas or canapés are served first as the rice is cooking. In Mystole, midsummer sunset is about 9:15pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:00pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:50pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue, including speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.

Before we arrive

  • Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Let us know the timings for the day

Mystole questions

Do you cater in the Kent Downs National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.

Can you cook in Broadham Down?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

Do you do vegan paella?

Yes. We cook vegetarian and vegan paellas in their own pans, alongside the meat and seafood pans.

How long does the paella take?

We get there in good time to set up. The rice itself takes about 20 minutes, and we time it to your schedule.

Do you offer tastings?

Ask us when you enquire and we will explain the options.

Is the paella gluten-free?

Yes, on request. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.

Is paella smart enough for a wedding?

It can be dressed up or kept relaxed, depending on presentation and service.

How soon do we need to book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it is worth asking.

Diets, allergies and planning

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Tell us about suppliers who need feeding
  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator
  • Send us the running order and speech times

On the day, we liaise with your coordinator or toastmaster, so you do not have to.

We can provide crockery and waiting staff if your venue doesn’t.

For event organisers in Mystole

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Mystole? Live paella feeds a crowd quickly and suits most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.

Before you choose a spot

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space before we confirm. Generally, we look for:

  • The venue’s permission for live cooking
  • A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it
  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Live paella or other catering?

Food vans can create long queues. Paella is served quickly to many guests. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

What affects the price in Mystole

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • How long we’re needed on site
  • How many courses
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • The paellas you choose

The cost per head generally falls as numbers rise, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.
