Should I cook it myself?
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We are happy to give you a quote to compare.
About our wedding paella catering in Kencot
Evening paella is a favourite: it’s hot, filling and quick to serve, so evening guests are fed and the dancing carries on. We are often asked to cater parties after a register office wedding and sharing-style wedding meals, with a paella wedding breakfast, table tapas and canapé tapas.

How the day works
When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. Golden-hour photos in Kencot at midsummer come around 9:30pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 9:00pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September.

Why live cooking beats a buffet
Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Separate paella pans cover every diet. The cost per head typically falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.
Why book with us
- Fast service from the pan
- Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them

The menu, dish by dish
Evening paella
Evening paella is hot, filling and fun.
Paella wedding breakfast
The main event: paellas for every diet, served straight from the pan.
Planning for every diet
With a little notice, every diet is easy. Our advice:
- Count day and evening guests separately
- Enquire early for peak dates
- Connect us with your coordinator
- Ask about diets and allergies with your RSVPs
If things run late, and we’ll adjust the cooking so the paella is served at its best.
We can provide crockery and waiting staff if your venue does not.
What wedding paella catering costs
Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
- How long we are needed on site
- Whether you need crockery
- Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.
What we need to know
You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:
- The date and rough timings
- Which courses you have in mind
- What the venue already provides
- Diets and allergies you know about
Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will confirm whether we are available that day.
Space, weather and the venue
We will agree the cooking spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:
- Level ground for the pans and burners
- Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
- Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise.

Kencot questions
How far is Kencot from London?
Roughly 67 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.
Do you come out to small places like Kencot?
No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.
Is the paella cooked on site?
Yes, always. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, where your guests can watch.
Is the paella gluten-free?
We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.
Do you offer halal options?
Yes. Halal paella is cooked with halal chicken and no pork or alcohol, in a separate pan.
Should we have more than one paella?
Two or three covers most guests. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.
Do you have a kids’ option?
Yes, children are easy to cater for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan for them.
Who clears up?
Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.
