Wedding paella catering near Hounslow

Wedding paella catering in Hounslow, made fresh on the day

At a wedding, paella is both the meal and a bit of a show. Guests wander over to watch while the photos are taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. For farm and barn venues and relaxed sharing-style wedding breakfasts, we’ll put together a menu of canapé tapas, Spanish desserts and evening paella for your guests.

Couples in Hounslow frequently marry locally and hold the reception at a venue or garden nearby. Live paella works well at both, as long as there is a ventilated spot to cook. In London, parking and loading need planning early. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: menu, staff, crockery and anything else you choose.

Live paella or other catering?

Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Paella covers them with separate pans. The cost per head typically falls as numbers rise, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it’s harder than it looks. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.

Space, weather and the venue

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We look for:

  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee

Hounslow is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

How it works

We arrive in good time before you want to eat, unload, set up the burners and prepare the stock. Your guests are welcome to watch as the paella takes shape. At midsummer, sunset in Hounslow is about 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue, including speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.

Preparing for the day

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Have a level space ready for the pans
  • Leave space around the cooking area

Organising for someone else?

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Catering for every guest

With a little notice, every diet is easy. Our advice:

  • Tell us when speeches will be
  • Choose pan-side or table service
  • Tell us about suppliers who need feeding
  • Book early for summer Saturdays

The pans are frequently set up where guests can see them, which makes a lovely backdrop for photos.

Sangria and bar staff can be added.

About the dishes

Evening paella

Evening paella is hot, filling and fun.

Paella wedding breakfast

Two or three paellas, served from the pans or brought to the tables, with bread and salad.

Hounslow: your questions answered

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Dunstan: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Could we have live paella in Sunbury Park?

Only if the landowner, typically the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we’ll send any information they need.

Should we have more than one paella?

Two or three covers most guests. We will recommend a mix based on diets.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.

How much is live paella catering?

Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. Tell us your date and numbers and we’ll reply with a price.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Of course. Canapé tapas with the drinks, or table tapas to share, served while the paella cooks.

What if the timings change?

Tell us and we’ll adjust. We keep in touch with your venue on the day so the paella is served fresh.

Is paella too casual for a wedding?

It can be as relaxed or as polished as you like, depending on how it’s served.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
