Why live cooking beats a buffet

Live paella is less formal than a plated meal, but with the right extras it feels just as special. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so the menu you choose affects the price. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Why choose Love Paella in Hever

  • Served hot, straight from the pan
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu

How the day works

From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you can enjoy your wedding. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first as the rice is cooking. Golden-hour photos in Hever at midsummer come around 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue, including speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.

Planning help

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Give us separate day and evening numbers
  • Tell us when speeches will be
  • Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers
  • Choose pan-side or table service

On the day, we liaise with your coordinator or toastmaster, so you don’t have to.

Canapés during the photos keep hunger at bay.

Space, weather and the venue

Safety and good cooking both depend on the spot we use. We need:

  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and we will say what we think.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.

Organising for someone else?

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so everyone eats promptly. Tell us how long you have for food.
