Wedding paella catering in Heart's Delight, cooked live

A wedding paella is food and entertainment at once. Guests drift over to watch the pans while the photos are being taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. Popular choices include canapé tapas, evening paella and a paella wedding breakfast, and typical bookings are for parties after a register office wedding and big weddings with every diet.

Near Heart's Delight, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That’s exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We plan the timings around your day, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

How it works

Watching it cook is half the fun. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook. At midsummer, sunset in Heart's Delight is about 9:15pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:00pm.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan your menu course by course.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve each course.
  5. We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.

Your questions about wedding paella catering in Heart's Delight

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Peter and St Paul?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Is Heart's Delight too small for live paella?

No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

When do you arrive?

It depends on the menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance so the paella is ready when you want it.

What does wedding paella catering cost?

Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.

Do you do desserts?

We can add a dessert. Tell us what you have in mind when you ask for a quote.

Do you do starters?

Yes. Canapés with drinks or tapas for the tables, served while the paella cooks.

What if our speeches run late?

We adapt. We stay in touch with your coordinator and time the rice so it is served at its best.

Is paella smart enough for a wedding?

With the right presentation, it feels special: canapés, table tapas, good crockery and staff serving the tables.

Planning for every diet

Paella is one of the easiest dishes for mixed diets, because every paella has its own pan. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Tell us about suppliers who need feeding
  • Tell us when speeches will be
  • Collect dietary needs on the RSVP

Guests can queue at the pans, or staff can serve the tables, whichever suits your day.

Spanish desserts, or your own wedding cake, finish the meal.

About the dishes

How we price wedding paella catering

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • The length of service
  • How many staff you need
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • How many guests are eating

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed before you book.

What to tell us

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Which courses you have in mind
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • What the venue already provides
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we are available that day.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Paella covers them with separate pans. Compared with a plated meal, live paella is frequently good value, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We will send you a quote.

Why us?

  • We cover Heart's Delight and the whole of Kent
  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • Food that becomes part of the entertainment
  • Everything cooked fresh at your event
