Wedding paella catering in Burmarsh, made fresh on the day
A wedding paella is food and entertainment at once. Guests wander over to watch while the photos are taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. Typical bookings include weddings with mixed diets and spanish-themed and destination-style weddings, serving table tapas, evening paella and canapé tapas.
A wedding in a small place like Burmarsh frequently means a field, a barn or a family garden. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen needed, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.
How we price wedding paella catering
Live paella pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:
- How many guests are eating
- Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- Parking and unloading
If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.
What to tell us
You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:
- Roughly how many adults and children
- Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
- Any dietary needs and allergies
- A picture of where we’d cook
The quickest way to a quote is to send us your details through our quote form. Tell us about your wedding in Burmarsh, and we’ll suggest paellas and extras to suit.
Planners, venues and businesses
Organising a club, school or community event in Burmarsh? Paella is quick to serve to a crowd and suits most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.
Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

- Food for evening guests
- Rustic barn weddings
- Destination-style celebrations at home
If you’re marrying at a church near Burmarsh, such as Church of All Saints, a reception in a garden, marquee or hired venue nearby keeps the day flowing: the paella can be cooking while you have photos taken, so the meal is ready when you arrive.
What your quote should include
- What the caterer needs from your venue
- Whether travel is included
- Plates, cutlery and napkins, or disposables
- Payment terms and deposit
Burmarsh questions
We’re having a ceremony at Church of All Saints: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
Is Burmarsh too small for live paella?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.
Can you cook halal paella?
Yes. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in its own pan.
Can you cater the whole day?
Yes. Canapé tapas, table tapas, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and desserts, or any part of that.
Can you serve tapas as well?
Yes, it’s the classic pairing. Tapas go out first, then the paella.
Can you supply plates?
If you need them, yes. Proper crockery or quality disposables can be added to your booking.
Is paella too casual for a wedding?
It can be dressed up or kept relaxed, depending on how it’s served.
Is the paella cooked on site?
Yes, always. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, in front of your guests.
The process
It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our cooking area, and get on with cooking and serving. In Burmarsh, midsummer sunset is about 9:15pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:00pm, which means evening paella is typically served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:50pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.
- We start with your date, venue, numbers and ideas.
- Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- We cook live on the day and serve every course on cue.
- Afterwards we clear our area; any staff you’ve booked stay as planned.
How to prepare
- Get the venue’s permission for cooking
- Leave space around the cooking area
- Have a level space ready for the pans

Dietary needs and planning tips
We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To get it right:
- Tell us when speeches will be
- Count day and evening guests separately
- Ask whether your venue allows outside caterers
- Choose pan-side or table service
On the day, we liaise with your coordinator or toastmaster, so you can enjoy yourselves.
Table tapas make a sociable starter.
About the dishes
Canapé tapas
Canapés keep guests happy between the ceremony and the meal.
Desserts
A sweet finish: churros, crema catalana or your wedding cake.
Planning the cooking area
Safety and good cooking both depend on the spot we use. We look for:
- Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
- A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it
- Parking close enough to carry equipment
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think.
What we offer
- Paella wedding breakfast
- Table tapas
- Evening paella
- Dessert
- Sangria & bar staff
- Canapé tapas
Paella compared with other options
Compared with formal catering, live paella is relaxed and sociable, but with canapés, table tapas and good crockery, it still feels special. The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.
Why us?
- Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
- Waiting staff and crockery on request
