Organising for someone else?

For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can hold the date.

Should I cook it myself?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and do not stir once the rice goes in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

How it works

We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you are free to enjoy your event. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first while the paella cooks. A summer drinks reception in Woolpack Corner has daylight until about 9:15pm at midsummer, perfect for canapés outdoors. By late September it’s dark around 7:00pm, and in December by about 3:50pm.

  1. Send us the date, venue, numbers and serving style.
  2. You get a suggested selection and a price.
  3. On the day we arrive, set up and finish the hot tapas on site.
  4. We serve canapés with drinks or set table tapas down to share.
  5. We pack down when service ends.

How to prepare

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Keep the cooking spot clear of fences, hedges and branches

How we price tapas catering

There are no hidden charges: the quote reflects:

  • Waiting and bar staff
  • Parking and unloading

Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.
