About our tapas catering in Sibford Gower
Tapas are sharing food, made for conversation. Canapés go round while guests mingle, or table tapas go out to share. We’re frequently asked to cater sharing boards for evening guests and tapas with a paella main course, serving tortilla española, Serrano ham and albóndigas.
In a rural spot like Sibford Gower, tapas can be served in a garden, barn or marquee. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

Organising for someone else?
Hosting a party at home? Send us a photo of the garden and tell us about access, and we’ll let you know if live paella is a good fit.
For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can hold the date.
Step by step
The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. At midsummer, it’s light in Sibford Gower until about 9:30pm, perfect for canapés outdoors. In late September, sunset is about 7:10pm; winter receptions, dark by 3:55pm, are better indoors.
- Send us the date, venue, numbers and serving style.
- We put together a tapas selection and a quote.
- On the day we arrive, set up and finish the hot tapas on site.
- Canapés circulate with drinks, or tapas go to the tables.
- We clear away our equipment when service is finished.

Common questions in Sibford Gower
Is Sibford Gower too small for live paella?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.
We are having a ceremony at Church of Holy Trinity: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking normally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
Do you clear up afterwards?
We pack down our cooking area after service. Waiting staff can clear tables if you book them.
Are there vegetarian tapas?
Yes. Tortilla, patatas bravas, padrón peppers and Manchego are vegetarian classics.
Are the tapas fresh?
We finish hot dishes on site; cold ones go out as guests arrive.
How much space do you need?
Less than you might think: a flat spot away from anything flammable, with space to serve. Send us a photo if you’re not sure.
Can we add drinks?
Yes. Sangria can be added, and bar staff if you’re providing the drinks.
Do we need staff for canapés?
We can provide staff. Canapés need staff to serve.
