Tapas catering in Quidhampton, cooked live

Tapas pair naturally with a live paella, served while the paella cooks, but they’re great on their own. For anniversary parties and engagement celebrations, we will put together a menu of patatas bravas, Manchego with membrillo and gambas al ajillo and more.

In a rural spot like Quidhampton, tapas can be served in a garden, barn or marquee. Everything is cooked from scratch at your event, never made in advance and reheated, and served the moment it is ready.

Quidhampton questions

Do you come out to small places like Quidhampton?

No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.

Which station should guests use for Quidhampton?

Quidhampton has its own station: Overton station.

Can you cook in the rain?

Rain does not stop us, as long as there’s a ventilated cover. We’ll make a plan B with you.

Do you provide drinks?

Sangria can be added, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.

Is halal food available?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

Are your tapas vegetarian-friendly?

Lots. Tortilla, bravas and Manchego are popular vegetarian choices.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, Hampshire included. See all areas.

Should we have more than one paella?

Two or three is usual: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We’ll help you decide the split.

The process

We work to your timings. If things run behind, we hold the paella at the right stage so it’s served at its best. Evening receptions in Quidhampton stay light until about 8:55pm in late May and 9:25pm in late June, which suits an outdoor reception.

  1. It starts with your date, venue, numbers and how you want the tapas served.
  2. We put together a tapas selection and a quote.
  3. On the day we arrive, set up and finish the hot tapas on site.
  4. We serve canapés with drinks or set table tapas down to share.
  5. We pack down when service ends.

What affects the price in Quidhampton

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Timings and hours
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • How many guests are eating

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

What we need to know

These details help us quote quickly:

  • The date and time of the event
  • A picture of the cooking space, if it’s a garden or field
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

Still deciding on the menu? That’s fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we will suggest a menu. Start when you’re ready: use our quote form.

Planning for every diet

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Widen the selection for a tapas-only menu
  • Match tapas with Spanish drinks
  • Ask for labels on each dish
  • Keep seafood and meat dishes clearly separate

Hot tapas are finished on site and served right away.

Bar staff and sangria.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, keep the stock hot, and do not stir once the rice goes in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

For planners, venues and organisers

Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We’ll provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Paella compared with other options

Standard canapés can feel samey. Spanish tapas bring colour and flavour. Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. We will send you a quote.
