Step by step

The paella is cooked in huge, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand. A summer drinks reception in Pulborough has daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, perfect for canapés outdoors. By late September it is dark around 7:05pm, and in December by about 3:55pm.

  1. It starts with your date, venue, numbers and how you want the tapas served.
  2. You get a suggested selection and a price.
  3. On the day, we set up and prepare the hot tapas there.
  4. We serve canapés with drinks or set table tapas down to share.
  5. We clear away our equipment when service is finished.

FAQs for Pulborough

We are having a ceremony at The Parish Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?

How long does the paella take?

We get there in good time to set up. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, timed around your event.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, West Sussex included. See all areas.

Will there be enough food?

Pans are sized to your numbers and other courses. Let us know about any other food. See how much paella per person.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it is cooked separately.

Do you have vegetarian tapas?

Plenty are vegetarian, like tortilla and padrón peppers. Each dish is labelled.

Can you supply plates?

If you need them, yes. Crockery, cutlery and napkins, or good-quality disposables are available.

Why choose live paella in Pulborough?

A sandwich buffet is easy but forgettable. Tapas feel special. Live paella often compares well with a sit-down meal, as there is no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. We’ll send you a quote.

DIY paella versus live catering

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.
