Tapas catering in Northiam
What happens on the day
The paella is cooked in huge, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. Evening receptions in Northiam stay light until about 8:45pm in late May and 9:15pm in late June, so canapés can go round outdoors on a summer evening.
- Send us the date, venue and numbers.
- We suggest a selection and a quote.
- We set up and finish the hot dishes.
- We serve canapés or table tapas.

Before we arrive
- Leave space around the cooking area
- Name one person we can ask on the day
- Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

DIY paella versus live catering
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.
You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.

Dishes our guests love
Patatas bravas
Always popular.
Tortilla española
Tortilla is vegetarian and naturally gluten-free when made carefully.
Is live paella right for your event?
Tapas can be a starter, a reception or the whole meal, so they fit most plans. Larger events normally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

About 46 miles from central London, and well within our area.
Do you cater for young children?
Children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan for them.

Can we add tapas or canapés?
Yes, it is the classic pairing. Tapas go out first, then the paella.
Do you take everything away?
We pack down our cooking area after service. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.
What does tapas catering cost?

Can you do sangria?
Sangria, yes, plus bar staff for your own drinks.
Prices and what affects them
Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:
- Travel, parking and access
- Timings and hours
- Waiting and bar staff
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.
What to tell us

- Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
- Anything your venue supplies

- Table space for sharing dishes at seated meals
- The venue’s agreement to outside caterers
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think before booking.
