Tapas catering in Clewer, cooked live
For standing receptions, canapés work best; for seated meals, table tapas. Many events have both. For cocktail parties and birthday and anniversary parties, we will put together a menu of padrón peppers, gambas al ajillo and croquetas.
In Clewer, tapas work at home or in a local hall. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: the menu, the staff and any extras.

Should I cook it myself?
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.
Planners, venues and businesses
For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.
Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.
Is live paella right for your event?
A plated starter needs a kitchen and staff. Table tapas are relaxed and sociable. Larger events typically cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.
Why us?
- Every diet catered for, pan by pan
- Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
- Live cooking, not reheated food
- Events in Clewer and across Windsor and Maidenhead
Diets, allergies and planning
Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:
- Plan more dishes if tapas are the meal
- Label vegetarian and allergen-free dishes
- Pair tapas with sangria, cava or sherry
- Separate seafood dishes from the rest
Tapas go out to the tables at the start of the meal.
Follow tapas with a live paella.

What tapas catering costs
Live paella pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:
- Guest numbers
- Waiting and bar staff
- Parking and unloading
- The paellas you choose
Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

How it works
We arrive in good time before you want to eat, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Guests usually gather round to watch while it cooks. A summer drinks reception in Clewer has daylight until about 9:25pm at midsummer, ideal for tapas in the garden. In late September, sunset is about 7:05pm; winter receptions, dark by 3:55pm, are better indoors.

Clewer: your questions answered
Can you cook in The Goswells?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, normally the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.
Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Andrew?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.
Do you do starters?
Yes, and it is a popular combination. Tapas go out first, then the paella.
Do you cook inside?
Mostly outside or under an open cover, because we use gas burners. Some venues have suitable spaces; we’ll check with you and the venue.
Is the paella gluten-free?
A gluten-free pan is no problem. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can plan it carefully.
How do you work out quantities?
That depends on their role in the meal. We will suggest quantities for your event.
Do you come to Clewer?
We do. Clewer is one of the places we cover. Send us your date to check availability.
Do you cater for vegetarian guests?
Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.
Space, weather and the venue
Before the day, we’ll agree where we cook. A good spot ticks these boxes:
- Unloading access
- The venue’s agreement to outside caterers
- Room for a tapas table
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before you book.
