Tapas catering near Brook

About our tapas catering in Brook

The best spreads mix hot and cold: cold cheese and ham with hot bravas, croquetas and garlic prawns. We’re often asked to cater welcome-drink canapés and tapas with a paella main course, serving Manchego with membrillo, albóndigas and Serrano ham.

Near Brook, tapas suit gardens, barns and marquees. The paella is served straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Sandwich buffets are forgettable. Tapas feel like a treat. Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. Ask us for a quote.

Brook: your questions answered

Is Brook too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

What about events near the coast?

Yes, as long as we can shelter from the wind. Sea breezes cool the pan, so a windbreak, building or gazebo helps.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Of course. A simple chicken paella is typically popular with children. Include children in your numbers.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes, on request. Let us know your halal numbers, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Yes. Canapés with drinks or tapas for the tables, served while the paella cooks.

What areas do you cover?

We cover London and the South East, including the Isle of Wight. See all areas.

Do you serve drinks with tapas?

Sangria and bar staff can be added.

Do you cook tapas on site?

Yes, hot dishes are finished at the venue.

What happens on the day

On the day, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. Evening receptions in Brook stay light until about 8:55pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June, so canapés can go round outdoors on a summer evening.

  1. We check your date.
  2. You choose canapés, table tapas or both.
  3. We arrive and set up our station.
  4. Hot and cold tapas are served.
  5. We clear away at the end.
