Tapas catering for Booker events

Tapas catering for your event in Booker

Tapas are sharing food, made for conversation. Canapés go round while guests mingle, or table tapas go out to share. Popular choices include Manchego with membrillo, patatas bravas and Serrano ham, and typical bookings are for office parties and launches and anniversary parties.

For a party in a place like Booker, a tapas spread is easy and sociable. We serve straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and service is quick once it’s ready.

How it works

Service is quick: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so even a long queue moves. When service is finished, we pack down. At midsummer, it’s light in Booker until about 9:25pm, ideal for tapas in the garden. By late September it’s dark around 7:05pm, and in December by about 3:55pm.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. You get a selection and a price.
  3. We set up and finish hot tapas on site.
  4. Canapés go round or tapas go to the tables.
  5. We pack down when service ends.

Preparing for the day

  • Plan cover in case of rain
  • Have a level space ready for the pans
  • Make sure we can park close by to unload

Planning help

Who books tapas catering in Booker?

They’re easy to eat with a drink in hand.

Big or small, live paella works well. Common bookings include:

  • Sharing boards for evening guests
  • Birthday and anniversary parties
  • Tapas starters
  • Tapas with a paella main course

After a ceremony at a church such as Church of Christ the Servant King, canapé tapas with the drinks keep guests happy during photos.

Before booking anyone

  • The wet-weather plan
  • Payment terms and deposit
  • The venue requirements
  • VAT, if it applies

Choosing a paella caterer

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Working with your venue

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we will let you know if live paella is a good fit.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We will provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

Booker: your questions answered

Can you cook at venues in the Chilterns National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We will work to whatever the site needs.

High Wycombe station, about 2.1 miles east of the centre.

What areas do you cover?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Booker.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

Can you bring crockery?

Before you choose a spot

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We need:

  • Venue approval for outside catering
  • Space on each table
  • A suitable spot to finish hot tapas

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before you book.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

For food that gets people mingling, tapas work brilliantly. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.
