Paella catering in BN14

Our paella catering in BN14

You can keep it simple or build a full menu: just paella, or paella with tapas, desserts and drinks. We will suggest what suits your event. We cook mixed paella, vegan paella and vegetable paella, and we are frequently booked for retirement and leaving parties and office lunches and staff parties.

Service is quick: we serve straight from the pan, so large groups are fed quickly. When service is finished, we pack down.

  1. Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. Expect a menu idea and a clear, itemised price.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
  4. We set up, cook from scratch and keep an eye on your timings.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

Catering events across BN14

There are 3 towns and 2 villages and hamlets in BN14, so whether your event is in Worthing, Broadwater and Salvington or a quiet village, the approach is the same: a level, ventilated spot and a clear plan. 9 of the places we cover in BN14 are within about 6 miles of the sea, where we always plan shelter from the wind.

Broadwater: School fairs and fundraisers, for a school such as Broadwater CofE Primary School, can book us as a food stall. Nearby historic houses include Ecclesden Manor (4.2 miles west). If your event is at a historic house or estate, check its rules on caterers and cooking early. Planning an evening event in Broadwater? Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September; once it is dark, we need light to cook and serve by.

Planners, venues and businesses

Throwing a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about parking, and we will tell you honestly whether live paella will work.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can hold the date.

Planning for every diet

With a little notice, every diet is easy. We suggest:

  • Collect dietary needs with your RSVPs
  • Plan seating for most guests: paella is easiest eaten sitting down
  • Mention any other courses or food
  • Send allergies to us in writing

On the day, you shouldn’t have to think about the food. We set up, cook and serve, and keep in touch with you or your venue about timings.

We can add sangria and bar staff for your own drinks.

Before you choose a spot

We’ll agree the cooking spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • The venue’s permission for live cooking
  • Level ground for the pans and burners

About the dishes

Paella Valenciana

Paella Valenciana is the original: chicken, beans and saffron, rather than seafood. It’s frequently the most popular pan at an event.

Seafood paella

Prawns, mussels and squid in a rich fish stock, finished with lemon wedges. It is the pan people photograph.

DIY paella versus live catering

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.
