The process
We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you’re free to enjoy your party. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first while the paella cooks. A summer party in Town Row stays light until about 9:15pm at midsummer, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.
- It starts with your date, address, numbers and any diets.
- We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
- We arrive, set up in your garden or venue and start the sofrito.
- The paella cooks while your guests chat, with any tapas served first.
- We serve from the pan and clear our cooking area away when we are done.

- Ensure children stay back from the pans
- Ensure most people can sit to eat
- Plan where rubbish goes
- Give separate numbers for children

DIY paella versus live catering
Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.
