Paella party catering for Tetsworth events

Paella party catering for your party in Tetsworth

Paella is relaxed food: served from the pan, shared and enjoyed, so nobody needs a formal seating plan. We cook mixed paella, vegetable paella and tapas, and typical bookings are for birthday parties and naming days and christenings.

In a small place like Tetsworth, a party in the garden or a nearby field is often the plan. Tell us about lanes and parking, and we will plan the set-up. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, with each paella cooked in its own pan.

Tetsworth questions

We are having a ceremony at Church of St Giles: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

How far is Tetsworth from London?

About 42 miles from central London.

Can you cook in my back garden?

Most gardens are fine. We need level ground, clearance and access. A picture helps.

How many different paellas?

Two or three covers most guests. We will recommend a mix based on diets.

How soon do we need to book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Even if it is short notice, it is worth asking.

Can you serve drinks?

Sangria can be added, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.

Do you take everything away?

We clear our cooking area away when service is finished. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.

What areas do you cover?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Tetsworth.

Where we can cook in Tetsworth

Before the day, we’ll agree where we cook. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A photo of the garden helps us check the space
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before you book.

Diets, allergies and planning

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Plan a covered spot for wet weather
  • Give separate numbers for children
  • Let the neighbours know
  • Put out bins for general waste and recycling

We keep the cooking area tidy and safe, with space kept clear around the burners.

A jug of sangria sets the tone.

Organising for someone else?

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.

Live paella or other catering?

A hog roast is great for meat lovers, but harder for vegetarians and vegans. Paella covers everyone with separate pans. Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Why us?

  • Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available
  • Live cooking, not reheated food
  • Fast service from the pan
  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu

The process

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. For a late-May party in Tetsworth, sunset is around 8:55pm; at midsummer it’s about 9:25pm. If the party runs past dark, we will need light where we cook and serve.

  1. First, we check the date and the space.
  2. You choose your paellas and any extras.
  3. We set up the burners and start the sofrito.
  4. In goes the rice, and guests gather.
  5. We serve hot and tidy our area afterwards.

Preparing for the day

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking

How we price paella party catering

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • How many staff you need
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • The paellas you choose

Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Everything is confirmed in writing.

  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • The date and time of the event

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. You can fill in our quote form.
