Paella party catering in Nuffield, cooked live
Mixed groups are easy: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood pan and a vegetable or vegan pan side by side. Children typically love a simple chicken paella. We are frequently asked to cater milestone birthdays and street parties and neighbourhood get-togethers, with chicken and chorizo paella, churros and vegetable paella.
In a small place like Nuffield, a party in the garden or a nearby field is frequently the plan. Tell us about lanes and parking, and we’ll handle the rest. The paella is served straight from the pan, so it’s hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.

What paella party catering costs
Your quote will be clear and itemised. What affects it most:
- Travel, parking and access
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
- Whether you need crockery
- How long we’re needed on site
Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. Ask us for a quote.
What to tell us
You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:
- A picture of the space, if you can
- Expected numbers
- Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
- Any dietary needs and allergies
It is easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We will come back with a clear quote.
For planners, venues and organisers
If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide any information the landowner or council asks for.
Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll tell you honestly whether live paella will work.
Other catering in Nuffield
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.
Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and leave the rice alone once it is in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

Nuffield: your questions answered
Is Nuffield close to London?
About 41 miles from central London.
Do you cater in the Chilterns National Landscape?
Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We’ll follow the site rules.
Can you supply crockery?
On request. Crockery or disposables are available.
What if the weather’s bad?
Rain doesn’t stop us, as long as there’s a ventilated cover. We will talk it through before the day.
How much paella per person?
We size the pans for your numbers and the rest of the menu. Let us know about any other food. Our guide to portions explains more.
How far in advance should we book?
Early for summer weekends. Ask about your date.
Can the paella be cooked in a hall?
Generally we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, since the burners are gas. Some venues have suitable spaces; we will check with you and the venue.
When do you arrive?
That depends on your menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance.
The process
The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, which we agree with you beforehand. At midsummer, it’s light in Nuffield until about 9:25pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. By late September sunset is around 7:10pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.
