Paella party catering near Northwick Park

Paella party catering for your party in Northwick Park

A paella party takes the cooking off your hands without turning the day into a formal dinner. We set up in the garden or venue and cook as your guests chat. Typical bookings include milestone birthdays and family reunions, with vegetable paella, mixed paella and churros.

Throwing a party in Northwick Park? Live paella keeps you out of the kitchen, in a garden, on a patio or at a venue. Tell us about parking permits. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in a separate pan.

Northwick Park: your questions answered

Can you cook in Preston Park?

Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.

We are having a ceremony at Saint Cuthberts Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is usually elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Is the paella gluten-free?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we take the right care.

Do you cook inside?

Normally we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, because we use gas burners. We’ll check whether your venue has a suitable space.

Can you supply plates?

Yes, if you need them. Let us know what you have, and we will quote for the rest.

How long do you need on site?

We arrive well before serving to set up and start the stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, timed around your event.

Which areas do you serve?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

Can you supply crockery?

Yes, if you need them. Let us know and we will add it to the quote.

How it works

Service is quick: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. At midsummer, it is light in Northwick Park until about 9:20pm, so a garden party can run well into the evening. By late September sunset is around 7:05pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.

  1. You tell us the date, address, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. You get a menu suggestion and a clear price.
  3. On the day, we set up and get cooking.
  4. Guests gather round as it cooks, nibbling tapas if you’ve booked them.
  5. We serve from the pan and clear our cooking area away when we’re done.

Preparing for the day

  • Make sure we can park close by to unload
  • Ensure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day

Planning help

Should I cook it myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.

For event organisers in Northwick Park

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so guests are fed quickly. Let us know how long the food break is.

Space, weather and the venue

If a space isn’t suitable, we will tell you, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • A quick photo of the spot helps us plan
  • Level ground for the pans and burners

As a London location, Northwick Park is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before booking.

How we price paella party catering

There’s nothing hidden: the quote reflects:

  • How many staff you need
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • How long we’re needed on site

The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • The courses you’d like
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Still deciding on the menu? That is fine: give us the basics about your party, and we will make suggestions. Start when you are ready: use our quote form.

What’s in the pans

Seafood paella

Seafood paella normally gets the photos.

Vegetable paella

Vegetable paella in its own right, with peppers, beans and artichokes.

Planning for every diet

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Keep a clear zone around the cooking area
  • Give separate numbers for children
  • Put out bins for general waste and recycling
  • Plan a covered spot for wet weather

When service is finished, we pack down quietly, leaving you to carry on celebrating.

Churros and chocolate go down well with all ages.

Paella compared with other options

Compared with a barbecue, paella is served all at once, so everyone eats together. And nobody is stuck at the grill. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for live paella. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.
