Isfield questions
Is Isfield too small for live paella?
No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.
Is Isfield close to London?
About 39 miles from central London, and well within our area.
Do you cater for children?
Paella is popular with children, especially a mild chicken one. Let us know numbers and ages.
Can you provide dessert?
Yes. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.
When should I book?
The sooner the better, but it’s always worth asking. Send your date and we will check.
Can you serve tapas as well?
Yes, and it is a popular combination. Tapas first, paella to follow.
Do you provide drinks?
Yes, sangria. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.
Should we have more than one paella?
Normally two or three, so every guest has a choice. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.
How it works
We get there well before serving, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Your guests are welcome to watch as the paella takes shape. At midsummer, it’s light in Isfield until about 9:15pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it is dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.
- You tell us the date, address, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
- You get a menu suggestion and a clear price.
- We arrive, set up in your garden or venue and start the sofrito.
- The paella cooks while your guests chat, with any tapas served first.
- We serve it hot from the pan, then pack down.
Before we arrive
- Share the running order, including any speeches
- Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
- Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
