Paella party catering in Hunton, cooked live

It’s easy to cater for a mix of guests: meat, seafood and vegetable or vegan pans side by side. Children normally love a simple chicken paella. On the menu are vegetable paella, churros and mixed paella, and we are frequently booked for big birthdays and street and neighbourhood parties.

A country party near Hunton is perfect for paella: cooked in the open and served hot. Plan a gazebo in case of rain. Every pan is cooked in front of your guests, so it arrives hot and becomes part of the event.

Your questions about paella party catering in Hunton

Do you come out to small places like Hunton?

No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.

We are having a ceremony at Church of St James: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Do you cook at halls and clubs?

Yes, if there is a suitable outdoor or ventilated spot to cook. Ask the venue about live cooking.

Is halal food available?

Yes, we do. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in a separate pan.

Should we have more than one paella?

Usually two or three, so every guest has a choice. We will recommend a mix based on diets.

Do you do vegan paella?

Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.

Do you cater for children?

Paella is popular with children, particularly a simple chicken pan. Tell us how many and their ages.

When should I book?

Early for summer weekends. Ask about your date.

What paella party catering costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • The number of people
  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • The length of service
  • Parking and unloading

Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • The date and rough timings
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Which courses you have in mind

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. You can fill in our quote form.

Paella compared with other options

Compared with a barbecue, paella is served all at once, so nobody waits for the next batch. And nobody is stuck at the grill. Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Why Hunton hosts choose us

  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • Paella cooked from scratch on site
  • Crockery and waiting staff if you need them
  • A quote that spells everything out

Read Our pricing And Our guide to catering costs.

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Plan where rubbish goes
  • Warn the neighbours
  • Give separate numbers for children
  • Keep children and pets away from the burners

The cooking area stays tidy and safe, with space kept clear around the burners.

Add bread, salad and lemon.

Organising for someone else?

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Throwing a party at home? Send us a photo of the garden and tell us about access, and we’ll let you know if live paella is a good fit.

Should I cook it myself?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

What happens on the day

Service is quick: we serve straight from the pan, so large groups are fed quickly. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. Sunset in Hunton is about 8:55pm in late May and 9:25pm in late June. If the party runs past dark, we’ll need light where we cook and serve.

  1. First, we check the date and the space.
  2. You choose your paellas and any extras.
  3. The burners go on and the sofrito starts.
  4. In goes the rice, and guests gather.
  5. It’s served hot, and we clear away afterwards.

Before we arrive

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Have a level space ready for the pans
