Paella party catering for Grove Park events

Paella party catering for your party in Grove Park

A paella party takes the cooking off your hands without turning the day into a formal dinner. We set up in the garden or venue and cook as your guests chat. On the menu are chicken and chorizo paella, tapas and seafood paella, and we’re frequently booked for naming days and christenings and anniversaries and engagement parties.

Most parties in Grove Park are in back gardens, which in London can be compact. We need a level spot clear of fences and trees, and somewhere to park and unload. Send a picture of the garden. You will know exactly what’s included before booking: menu, staff, crockery and anything else you choose.

Hosting a paella party in Grove Park

Grove Park is about 2 miles south of Acton, in Greater London. Whether your party is in the middle of Grove Park or on the outskirts, we offer the same service: paella cooked live, every diet catered for and a clear quote. Grove Park is one of 764 towns and villages in Greater London where we cook. Our nearest city page is London, about 8 miles away.

Parks such as Dukes Meadows normally need permission for cooking, so a garden or hired venue is frequently easier. If guests are coming by rail, Grove Park has its own station, Chiswick station.

Wherever your party is in W4, TW9 and SW14, we can bring paella party catering to you. From Ibis Lane, Park Road and Cedars Road or anywhere nearby, we can cook there. For parties just outside Grove Park, we cover Kew (1 mile west), Strand-on-the-Green (1 mile west), North Sheen (1 mile south-west), Turnham Green (1 mile north-east) and Chiswick (1 mile north-east). Within a short drive, we also cover London (8 miles east), City of Westminster (5 miles north-east), Marylebone (6 miles north-east), Kensington (3 miles north-east), St Pancras (7 miles north-east) and Shoreditch (9 miles east).

Dietary needs and planning tips

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Warn the neighbours
  • Add a diet question to the invitation
  • Keep children and pets away from the burners
  • Plan a covered spot for wet weather

Kids are fascinated by the giant pans.

We can bring plates, cutlery and staff.

Is live paella right for your party?

Home-made buffets take ages and sit out for hours. Paella is cooked fresh and served hot. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so the menu you choose affects the price. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Why book with us

  • Real theatre, not just catering
  • No hidden extras in your quote
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • We cover Grove Park and the whole of Greater London

What affects the price in Grove Park

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • The number of people
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Starters, canapés and desserts

Live paella often compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. Ask us for a quote.

What we need to know

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • What the venue already provides
  • The date and time of the event

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.

Working with your venue

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can hold the date.

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so everyone eats promptly. Tell us how long you have for food.

How the day works

The cooking is part of the entertainment. Onion, garlic, peppers and tomato go in first, then the stock and saffron, then the rice, which cooks without stirring while your guests chat. A summer party in Grove Park stays light until about 9:20pm at midsummer, so a garden party can run well into the evening. By late September sunset is around 7:05pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.

  1. Send us the date, the address, numbers and diets.
  2. You get a menu suggestion and a clear price.
  3. We arrive, set up in your garden or venue and start the sofrito.
  4. Your guests watch the paella cook, with tapas first if you’ve chosen them.
  5. It is served from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

Getting ready for the day

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Have a level space ready for the pans

How to get a price

Send us the date, your venue or W4 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, fill in our quote form.

Planning help

DIY paella versus live catering

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and leave the rice alone once it is in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.

Grove Park: your questions answered

Could we have live paella in Dukes Meadows?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, usually the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

We are having a ceremony at St Paul's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking normally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Will it be noisy or smoky?

Less smoke than a barbecue, more smell. A friendly note to the neighbours helps.

How much does paella party catering cost in Grove Park?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the courses, staff and travel. Send us the details for a quote.

Who clears up?

Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, Greater London included. Find your area.

What about pudding?

Yes. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices.

Do you cook inside?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.

About the dishes

Chicken & chorizo paella

Chicken and chorizo is a crowd-pleaser.

Seafood paella

Prawns, mussels and squid in a rich stock.

Planning the cooking area

Before the day, we’ll agree where we cook. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
  • Access for unloading near the cooking spot
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site

As a London location, Grove Park is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and we’ll say what we think before booking.
