How we price paella party catering

There is nothing hidden: the price is based on:

  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Whether you need crockery
  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • Waiting and bar staff

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, along with staff, extras and travel. We quote for each event individually.

What we need to know

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • Which courses you have in mind
  • The date and time of the event

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. Just send us your details through our quote form.

Planning the cooking area

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. Generally, we look for:

  • Level ground for the pans and burners
  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
  • Send a picture of the garden so we can check

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think before booking.

What we offer

  • Tapas
  • Mixed paella
  • Vegetable paella
  • Chicken & chorizo paella
  • Seafood paella
  • Churros
  • Paella Valenciana

How the day works

Here’s how the day normally runs: we set up the pans and start the sofrito, your guests watch the rice cook, and it’s served hot from the pan when you are ready to eat. A summer party in Frant stays light until about 9:15pm at midsummer, so a garden party can run well into the evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:00pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. We check your date and the space.
  2. You choose your paellas and any extras.
  3. The burners go on and the sofrito starts.
  4. In goes the rice, and guests gather.
  5. We serve hot and tidy our area afterwards.

Before we arrive

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook

Your questions about paella party catering in Frant

Is Frant too small for live paella?

No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.

What’s the nearest station to Frant for guests?

Frant station, about 1.2 miles north-east of the centre.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Yes, it’s the classic pairing. Tapas go out first, then the paella.

Will the neighbours notice?

There’s a cooking smell, but much less smoke than a barbecue, and it’s a good smell. Let the neighbours know.

Do you come to Frant?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Frant. To check your date, fill in our quote form.

When should I book?

Early for summer weekends. Ask about your date.

What areas do you cover?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

How long do you need on site?

That depends on your menu and numbers. We will agree arrival, cooking and serving times with you.

Planning for every diet

With a little notice, every diet is easy. Our advice:

  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Make sure children stay back from the pans
  • Plan seats for most guests
  • Add a diet question to the invitation

We keep the cooking area tidy and safe, with a clear space around the burners.

A jug of sangria sets the tone.

Live paella or other catering?

Cooking yourself saves money but costs you the party. With live paella, you are a guest too. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why book with us

  • Waiting staff and crockery on request
  • Live cooking, not reheated food
  • Events in Frant and across Kent
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts

Take a look at Our prices page And The cost guide.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
